March 13, 1764-Dated Colonial Era, Manuscript Connecticut Treasury Receipt, Specifying the Dates of 1760 & 1761 Colonial Currency Notes Used to Purchase a Bill of Exchange, Fine. Original, Colonial Era, 5.5” x 7.5” Connecticut Treasury Receipt, where Lynde Lord of Litchfield redeemed CT notes of the issues of March 1760 and March 1761 for a bill of exchange. Joseph Talcott Jr. has signed the receipt as clerk of the Colonial Treasurer’s office. His father was the Treasurer at that time. An interesting Colonial Currency related item. Fresh clean and very nice for display.
