Autograph Letter Signed “HT Baker” 3pp. quarto, Boston, Massachusetts, May 28, 1849, addressed to John Ogilbie, and reads in part: “...I find that the quantity of coal which will be deficient for annual consumption this seson well 700,000 tons....This enormous deficiency arises from the various difficulties which the Penn mines have been subjected to, for a serious of months...Reading Rail Road strikes, low prices & c...” Much more.
