Autograph Letter Signed, “M.C. Warfield, 4pp. octavo, from Harpoot, Armenia, May 16, 1868, and reads in part: “...Good news from a far county is indeed like cold water to a thirsty soul...sometimes we meet & read together letters from the different mission stations...I tell you that one of our dear missionary sisters was very sick...The next day Jesus took her home...She seemed admirably fitted to work for Christ but I suppose He had some higher service for her in the upper World. Little harry B was a sweet child & it was a great trick to the parents to part with him but they are greatly comforted by teh rememberance of his trust in the Savior...” Much more. Very good condition.
