GIBSON, Francis Marion Gibson (1847 - 1923) He was a First Lieutenant in Company H who performed scouting duty and participated in the hilltop fight. He was the brother-in-law of Donald McIntosh. Document Signed “F.M. Gibson” as 1st Lieut 7th Cavalry, Judge Advocate General Court Martial, 2pp, March 4, 1878. Gibson acknowledges on 2nd page the testimony of Sgt Henry Shall regarding a theft on the fort grounds. VG
