Autograph Letter Signed “Walter H. Willoughbly Troop K 7 Cavalry, Fort Huchuea A Trr.” 2pp. octavo, pencil, October 15, 1897, with cover, and reads in part: “...I was in Arizona at the time and have been in the field most of the time since after this tribe of Yaqui Indians that attack the Mexican Custom House two months ago. They were seven killed we were forty days after Apaches renagades and got only two paposses and ponies and camp outfit. So you know they were being pressed close. The United States has a treaty with Mexico to go after Indians two hundred and fifty miles. ...” Fine condition.
