An American Civil War era presentation Chaplin sword by Clauberg. The Clauberg knight maker's mark is stamped on the blade's ricasso. The sword's 27-1/2” narrow blade is etched with stylized vegetation as well as "U.S." on the reverse and the "E Pluribus Unum" scroll. No scabbard. VG
