Unmounted CDV albumen of an early "Base Ball Illustrated" magazine, c1863. The cover shows 12 vignettes, each with a now familiar baseball term. For example, "Pitcher" shows the player heaving another player; "Catcher" shows the player chasing a women; "Innings" shows a player in the water having fallen through the ice.
