1/6th plate daguerreotype by Otis Hubbard Cooley (1820-1860) an American daguerreotype photographer who ran a studio in Springfield, Massachusetts, in the 19th century. The studio produced portraits of poet Emily Dickinson and her sister Lavinia Norcross Dickinson, among others. This daguerreotype is marked "COOLEY" at lower left and "SPRINGFIELD" at lower right corner. Half case, else very good condition.
