c. 1850, (12) Miniature Portrait Prints, of New York State Legislators for 1798, Printed by Richard H. Pease, Albany, NY, and (3) Other Prints, total Collection of 15, Mostly Near Mint. This lot consists of (12) small Portraits of Members of the New York Legislature in 1798. These prints are lithographs made in the mid-1850s by Albany, NY printer Richard H. Pease, from engraved originals in the New York State Library. These portraits measure about 2.5" x 2" and were originally part of an 18" x 8" printed sheet of group portraits (which someone has here cut into individual portraits). The individuals in this group are identified as: Misters Gansevoort, Gelston, Van Vechtem, Jones, Cantine, Fonda, White, Hommedley, Graham, Silvester, Thompson and J. Morris. Two of these portraits have fold lines, the rest are like new. Also includes, three (3) miniature prints published in 1903 from originals by E.D. French, being of George Washington in his military uniform, Sir Henry Clinton, and the capture of Major Andre, measuring about 1" each and all are in choice condition. (15 items)
