Engraved Print: “GEORGE WASHINGTON,” After the Painting by Gilbert Stuart, Very Fine. Engraving measuring 4.5” x 3.5,” on 12” x 9.5” printed on heavy wove period paper. Caption below the image includes a facsimile signature reads, “G Washington.” No date or engraver is identified. A variation of the Stuart portrait of Washington in stiff black jacket, ruffled shirt and tight-lipped countenance. Paper with some foxing, crimped corners, but overall appears very nice.
