John Morgan's Kentucky raid; a riot between the Irish and Negroes in Toledo, Ohio, a printing of the "Letter from Gen. Butler in Explanation of his Order regarding the Ladies of New Orleans." and the heroics of General Forrest at Murfreesboro. Fine condition...plus; "The Daily Intelligencer" January 28, 1864, with front page advertisements for "Negroes Wanted" issued by Whitaker & Turner who list "We have on market now likely Women, Girls & c...." a recruiting ad for Colonel John Morgan's cavalry, and articles on the review of the war situation and the Confederate navy.
