An exceptionally rare, original George Washington contemporary eulogy as pronounced in official services. Fresh, clean and crisp, boldly printed, disbound, measuring 8” x 4.75” fully titled: “An Eulogy on General George Washington, who died on the 14th of Dec. 1799. Pronounced at Dorchester, Feb. 22, 1800. It being the Day recommended by Congress, for the National Lamentation of his Death. By Oliver Everett, Esq. Charlestown: printed by Samuel Etheridge. 1800.” This historic Imprint has 22 pages, complete, in bright, clean condition, some remnants of old binding at spine no wraps. This sermon’s content is stirring – detailing everything from Washington’s character to his familiar lineage and genealogy; from his strength on both battlefield and as our first President to his benevolence and worshipful nature. A great example of the many eulogies offered up for this great man and the First United States President, having GREAT HISTORIC CONTENT.
