Group of three memorial imprints pertaining to Captain Joseph Smoot, of the United States Navy, 1856, who served with Commodore Perry at Vera Cruz during the Mexican War. Very good condition. Joseph Smoot had a fascinating career to include; served on the U.S.S. Hornet with Captain James Lawrence and participated in the engagement with the H.B.M.S.
