An extraordinary pair of Opera Glasses, 5" x 5" x 2-1/2" made of Mother of Pearl. the glasses are marked, "Prize Medal Opera Glasses, H. Waldstein, New York". According to the Smithsonian, Henry Waldstein was a Jewish immigrant who began working as an optician in New York around 1840.
