During the 1840s, when he led five expeditions into the American West, that era's penny press and admiring historians accorded Frémont the sobriquet The Pathfinder. Document Signed "Fremont & Morton by J.C. Fremont" on verso of Cincinnati Railway Tunnel Company stock certificate, issued March 1, 1872 to Messrs. Fremont & Morton. Fine condition.
