War-date Autograph Letter addressed to Mr. Lincoln, 1pp. quarto, and reads in part: “...I have sent by Mr. Anthony a piece of wood for Trumbulls cut. I assumed some oil on the log from which the block was taken...The wood will want a thick coat of writing on account of its being so dark...” Fine condition.
