War-date Union soldier's letter, 2pp. 8vo., written by Pvt. Thomas J. Bond, Co. G, 2nd Ohio Vols., Murfreesboro, [Tenn.], June 23, 63, in part: "…we are ordered to move at 7 o'clock. I do not know where we are going but [it] is supposed that we go further into Dixie and hunt [Baxton] Bragg and his Rebel horde and vandals…the whole Army of the Cumberland will move this morning…I see where Uncle Frank is building a large boat. It will be the largest boat he ever built…T. J. Bond." The original transmittal cover is included. VG
