From the interior, a full page horizontal engraving, “Arrival at Chickasaw Bayou of the Negro Slaves of Jefferson Davis, from the Plantation on the Mississippi.” Also, from the front page is the report “The Slaves of Jefferson Davis coming into Camp at Vicksburg.”
