A rare circa 1865 draft printed broadside, measuring 8" x 18", from Indiana County, Pennsylvania, reading, at the top left margin, in full: "Below we give a complete list of persons Drafted from Indiana county, under the Conscription Act at Greensburg, on the 13th inst. The names are correct in the main, thigh there may be a few slight errors. Notices will be severed (sic) on the parties drafted notifying them of the time when they must report at Provost Headquarters, and supplying them with transportation." Following this brief announcement are nearly a thousand names of those drafted in early 1865 from each of Indiana County's towns. We have located several of these men entering the ranks in March 1865. Found with the Carnahan letters which can be found elsewhere in our catalog. Minor spotting, else VG
