Book, 1st edition, “HISTORY OF THE TWELFTH MASSACHUSETTS VOLUNTEERS (WEBSTER REGIMENT),” by Benjamin Cook, published by Twelfth (Webster) Regiment Association, Boston, 1882, 167pp., plus the large folding map in rear pocket. Nice copy of a scarce regimental history. This First Corps unit saw action in the Eastern theater and took part in major engagements at Manassas, Antietam, Fredericksburg, Gettysburg, Wilderness, Spotsylvania, among others. Suffered heavy casualties at Antietam. One of Foxs' Fighting 300.
