Three disbound page groupings from Auslegung der Episteln und Evangelien, auf die vornehmsten Feste durchs ganze Jahr , (Interpretation of the Epistles and Gospels, to the principal festivals throughout the year: Berlin, J. Jacobi, 1785), by Johann SPANGENBERG (1484-1550) German Protestant theologian, author, reformer, contemporary of Martin Luthur. Originally written in 1542 in Nordhausen, where Spangenberg served as Pastor for over two decades, the book, entirely in German, covers rituals from Advent through Easter. the illustrated pages include; Cover, 4 pp. with 4-1/2” x 3” illustration on Page [8] titled "Evangelium am Tage Thoma des heiligen Apostels," ("Gospel on the day of the Apostle Thomas"). ...plus, 4pp with 4-1/2” x 3 illustration on Page 18 titled "Evangelium am vierten Sonntage des Advents," ("Gospel on the fourth Sundays of Advent") ...plus, 4pp with 4-1/2” x 3 illustration on page 117 titled "Evangelium an zehenden Sonntage nach Trinitatis," ("Gospel of tithes Sunday after Trinity"). So, three 4pagers, each with 1 illustration.
