He later joined Franklin and Jay to negotiate peace with Great Britain. Autograph Document Signed in text, “John Adams”, Braintree, Mass., December 22, 1763. 1 p., 6” x 3-3/4”. In full, “ Rec’d of John Adams Four Pounds Twelve Shillings of lawful Money, in Part for an Action commenced in favour of Captn. Thatcher vs Elijah Beldus.” Signed by recipient “Jonathan Webb”.
