Includes, "Memorial of the Delaware Indians..." which features a map of contested properties on Diamond Island on the Missouri River, 50pp., VG. ... plus, “Agreement with the Creek and Seminole Nations. January 21, 1898.- Ordered to be printed. Mr. Jones, of Arkansas, presented the following AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE UNITED STATES COMMISSIONERS TO NEGOTIATE WITH THE FIVE CIVILIZED TRIBES AND THE COMMISSIONERS ON THE PART OF THE MUSCOGEE OR CREEK NATION., 10 pages, unbound, in part: "This agreement, by and between the Government of the United States, of the first part, entered into in its behalf by the Commission to the Five Civilized Tribes, Henry L. Dawes, Frank C. Armstrong, Archibald S. McKennon, Alexander V. Montgomery, and Tams Bixby, duly appointed and authorized thereunto, and the government of the Muscogee or Creek Nation in the Indian Territroy, of the second part, entered into in behalf of such Muscogee or Creek government, by its commission, duly appointed and authorized thereunto, viz, Pleasant Porter, Joseph Mingo, David M. Hodge, George A. Alexander, Roland Brown, William A. Sapulpa, and Conchartie Micco, Withesseth, That in consideration of the mutual undertaking herein contained, it is agreed as follows: GENERAL ALLOTMENT OF LAND. 1. There shall be allotted out to the lands owned by the Muscogee or Creek Indians in the Indian Territory, to each citizen of said nation, one hundred and sixty acres of land..." Light marginal toning, edge wear to left margin at binding, very slight creasing, overall fine condition. ... plus, “Black Hills Forrest Reservation”. February 1, 1899.- Referred to the Committee on Appropriations and ordered to be printed. To accompany Mr. Pettigrew's amendment to the sundry civil appropriation bill. Mr. Pettigrew presented the following LETTER FROM THE SECRETARY OF THE INTERIOR, SUBMITTING REPORT OF THE COMMISSIONER OF THE GENERAL LAND OFFICE ON THE AMENDMENT INTENDED TO BE PROPOSED BY MR. PETTIGREW TO THE SUNDRY CIVIL APPROPRIATION BILL, THE OBJECT OF WHICH IS TO PROVIDE A METHOD FOR THE ENTRY OF LANDS IN THE BLACK HILLS FOREST RESERVATION, SOUTH DAKOTA, UNDER THE HOMESTEAD LAW., 3 pages, unbound, suggesting adjustments to the land allotment provisions in the 1898 agreement with the Creek and Seminole Nations. Significant right margin edge wear though only affecting content slightly, light creasing and toning, rough at edge, overall very good condition. The three (3) together.
