A spectacular stereoview by J. Ward & Son of Boston MA showing a young black man in prison stripes, praying for his freedom. The printed prayer is on the back, "Oh let me live in Freedom's Land, or die if still a slave". A moving passage and a riveting image, in fabulous condition...strong contrast and clarity on a very flat mount. Np., Nd., c1860.
