Broadside, 9” x 12”, titled “The Joint REUNION, 54th Texas Division 48th Camp Ben M’Culloch, CONFEDERATE VETERANS At Ben McCulloch Camp .... Aug. 2, 3, 4, 1944 ... All Confederate Urged to Attend On Thursday ...” We found a notice in a Texas paper, “The joint reunion of Texas Division and Camp Ben McCulloch, United Confederate Veterans, being held at Ben McCulloch camp grounds near Driftwood, closes Friday night. Friday, Confederate Sons' and Daughters' Day, the ^exercises are to be open at 10:30 with music, followed with an address by Hon. R. E. Sparkman of Italy, Texas. Mr. Sparkman has performed most valuable service to the Confederate cause, in locating unmarked graves of Confederate soldeirs and securing government markers for them than any other one man-1,600 in Texas and a few in other states. Don't fail to hear him. ...”
