Union soldier’s letter written by “A(braham) Moore” who enlisted on 11/14/1861 at Brockport, NY as a Captain into "F" Co. NY 105th Infantry. The four page letter is datelined Camp of 105 Reg. NY Vol, Near Belle Plaine Va., Jan. 28, 1863. He writes in part, “At the Battle of Fredericksburg, the following are the casualties wounded Sergeant Doty, Marsh, Tompkins, Close, Morse & Charles E. Washburn ... We drove the enemy from their cover ... Our brigade had become very much reduced from the wounded and killed ... The enemy came forward and once more had possession of the breast works ...Myers of our company was detailed to go under flag of truce to bury the dead ... “
