Union letter written by “A(ustin) Fenn” who enlisted on 7/22/1862 into "H" Co. VT 10th Infantry. The lengthy eight page letter comes with original cover and is datelined Camp Near Winchester Virginia, November 24th 1864. He writes in part, “The rebels did strip some of our dead that day ... Loren Pease had a ‘hair breath’ escape in that battle. I will tell you but I don’t care to have it made public ... I had a ball through my cap that day, but it didn’t hurt me ...”
