George McClellan 1864 campaign ballot, 3" x 8", large portrait of McClellan, fine. After President Lincoln relieved McClellan of his duties in 1862 there was no "Love Lost" between the two men. As the 1864 Presidential campaign started the war effort was not going well for the Union, and it seemed that "Little Mac" might win the Presidency. But, as the tide turned in late 1864 it was evident that Lincoln would win his second term, albeit cut short by assassination.
