Very nice 28" x 22" print titled: "Prohibition Party Leaders of 1884, Dedicated to the 153,128 St. John’s Voters" with about 50 of the people ID’d along bottom margin. There are four woman illustrated including Clara Hoffman, Mary Woodbridge, Mary Lathrap and Frances Willard (was instrumental in the passage of the Eighteenth (Prohibition) and Nineteenth (Women Suffrage) Amendments to the United States Constitution). Drawn and printed by Wm. Bengough & Co., NY, published by J.A. Van Fleet, publisher of "The Lever," Chicago. Framed, VG. We could only find one in the LOC. The Prohibition Party of the United States was formed in 1869. The Prohibition Party found early success in pressuring towns and counties to enact prohibition laws.
