Colorful cel, 16-1/4” x 12-1/4”, matted and framed, Fine. A baseball themed Popeye Take Him Out To The Ball Game 16-field animation sericel, signed by animator Myron Waldman. It depicts the popular cartoon character lifting his hat in greeting and supporting a bat on his shoulder. The cel is set against a colorful collage background of Popeye jumping for the ball, hitting, throwing, and catching. The piece is hand numbered 2791000, as well as signed “Myron Waldman” to the bottom right. The Toon Art COA is included. Waldman (1908-2006) was a noted animator who worked on Betty Boop, Popeye, Superman, and numerous other cartoons over the course of five decades. Includes a Toon Art certificate of authenticity on the reverse.
