War-date Autograph Document Signed, “J.P. Johnston” Lt. Col. 1pp. quarto, Head Quarters of Division, Richmond, Virginia, June 2, 1861, being Special Orders No. 63, and reads in part: “...Capt. W.E. Jones will proceed with his company to Washington Mountain Pike to the Cavalry camp of Instruction at Ashland, Hanover County, and report to Lt. Col. Chas. M. Field Provisional Army of the Camp for Duty.” Fine condition.
