Virginia, addressed to Union General Marsena Rudolph Patrick, and reads in part: “...Some of your officers are stopping at my house tonight ...My daughter Emily J. was obliged to leave in Richmond, I have written to her to call upon you or to write a note a asking the necessary protection for her return...” Fine condition.
