MITCHELL, Margaret (1832-1918) famed actress and Confederate Sympathizer Maggie Mitchell. Miss Mitchell was one of the leading actresses of her day. She was also a very close friend of Lincoln Assassin John Wilkes Booth. Her photograph was one of those found in his wallet when he was shot after being pursued for assassinating the president. Autograph Note Signed “Maggie Mitchell” May 8, 1890, complying with an autograph request. Fine condition.
