Group of three war-date bounty documents includes : Partly printed Document Signed on fine “Office of the United States Marshal for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania,” August 25, 1862, for Charles Besson and reads in part: “...That you have been enrolled as a citizen within the Sixth Precinct of the Eighth War of the County of Philadelphia...liable to Military Service...” Fine condition...plus ; Manuscript Document Signed by Edward Love, Seabrook, New Hampshire, February 6, 1865, and reads “Received of the town of Seabrook, three hundred dollars as a bounty the town voted to pay any enrolled man that would enlist in the military or naval service of the United States agreeable tot he call of the President...” Fine condition...plus; Partly printed Document Signed by Abraham Rose, with his “X” mark, September 2, 1864, being a nice substitute document form Seabrooke New Hampshire, and reads in part: “....Pay Mr. Elishu Dow...the sum of three hundred dollars due me...on account of having been mustered into the United States Service for three years a a substitute...” Fine condition.
