A nicely printed Lincoln "beardless" portrait mourning ribbon, ca. 1865, bold black lines flank the top and bottom of the ribbon. At the top appears a mournful, but hopeful sentiment reading: "Rest! Statesman! Rest! Await the Almighty's will; Then rise unchanged and be a statesman still." While below the dead president's portrait it is boldly printed: "ABRAHAM LINCOLN, Born Feb. 12th, 1809, Martyred April 14th, 1865." Minor pin holes, else near fine
