Autograph Letter Signed “R.A. Whitehard” 1pp. quarto, Washington, June 1, 1870, addressed to Al Fostal, and reads in part: “...in reference to the Program that you received from me of Fords Theater the same as used the night of the murder of President A. Lincoln will say that this is the original program of the nights notwithstanding what others may say about the same...I was in the theater that night...this program was found in the box in the morning occupied by the Lincoln pary and it would be hard to say which of the parties held the same why could not it be held by Lincoln himself...” More. Very good condition.
