A great grouping of early Minnesota statehood postal covers. The group consists of seventeen stamped covers and highlights include (2) early 1850's Fort Snelling post marked embossed George Washington three-cent stamped covers; (11) Shakopee post marked covers including Minnesota Territory and statehood covers with one clearly dated 1858 while the latest bears a 1869 issue three-cent blue railroad stamp; (3) 1890's advertising covers: embossed with the cachet: "Deer & Co., Minneapolis, Minn." and (3) covers from the 1880's with one of those bearing a two-cent vermillion Andrew Jackson stamp. Overall expected condition wear with some toning, and other minor faults.
