War-date Autograph Document Signed “Samuel Brown,” and Timothy Lawrence with his “X” mark, 1pp. quarto, Boston, April 21, 1778, and reads “We the subscribers do hereby acknowledge that we have Received, the sum of sixty pounds cash from the Town of Topsfield for enlisting ourselves to serve as soldiers during the war...” Fine condition.
