Book, “A South-side view of slavery ; or, Three months at the South in 1854”, Nehemiah Adams, 2nd edition, 1855, published by T. R. Marvin and B. B. Munsey, Boston, 223pp., bound in brown cloth, spine cracked and a little faded, a very good copy. Adams went to Georgia during the last decade before the Civil War. He wrote about his opinions of slavery. He was sympathetic to the institution much to the chagrin of northern abolitionists.
