War-date Confederate officer Autograph Letter Signed by Major Daniel Trueheart, Chief of Artillery for Stonewall Jackson, 1pp. quarto, Winchester, Virginia, December 17, 1861, addressed to Lt. Col. Ashby and reads in part: “...I send you by the stage this morning ammunition, etc, called for by requisition yesterday...I have telegraphed twice to Strausburg about the 12 pound Howitzer but cannot find it. It may have been stopped at Manassas Junction...The 50 knapsacks & canteens were sent to Charlestown to Rouse...” Fine condition.
