War-date Autograph Letter Signed “S. Cordes Boylston” AAAG, 1pp. quarto, Head Quarters, Second Sub. Dist South Carolina, Sullivans Island, January 2, 1865, addressed to Admiral Dahlgren, and reads “I have the honor to state that Lieut. Gen. Hardee C.S.A Comd’g Dept So Ca. Ga & Fla desires to communicate at 3 PM this day with your fleet lying off this Port. The Flag of Truce boat will come to anchor in the neighborhood of the position lately used for exchange of prisoners of war...” Fine condition.
