Filled with end of war details. ... plus, The New York Herald, April 6, 1865, with stacked column headlines, “Richmond, Jeff Davis Takes Rail for Danville, The Rebel cabinet Nowhere, Mrs. Lee Remains in Town ...” ... plus, The Public Ledger, April 6, 1865 (4pp.), several front page reports include, “Occupation of Richmond”, Pursuit of Lee’s Army”, Rebels Fired All the Principle Buildings”, ... An interesting grouping.
