Stereoview, "Camp Scenes. Army of the Potomac. No. 2056. Camp Dinner”, published by E & H T Anthony. There is a lot to see in this image. The Black man is seated on the ground holding the coffee pot and looks right into the lens of the camera. He may be a contraband or ex slave. He appears to be wearing military clothing and hat. Clearly visible are two bottles, one half empty, on the table along with plates, food and implements. The man on the right holds a forkful of food and the man on the left is about to eat a slice of bread. The young man second from right holds his metal mug and has hoisted a spoonful of food. Behind this group are two tents and the woods. The mount is soiled, the images are very good with great three-dimensional effect when seen in a viewer.
