It includes 30 fold-out and 2 page maps of the states or countries through which the routes pass. Mostly in the northern, middle and eastern States. There are +/-25 maps present plus 2 large tipped in maps. It also includes four plans of cities and is embellished with 20+/- engravings. The text begins with origins and progress of railroads, extended texts on some eastern railroads and a few southern railroads as well. Appendices on sailing of steamships, telegraph prices, and money conversion. 313 pages. The book has some mild general wear.
