Manuscript document, August 17, 1863, by which Nancy Taylor of Harrison County Texas sells her “Negro man Frank of Copper complexion, age Thirty five years, about five feet 10 inches high, weight about one hundred & fifty pounds...” to Masy Benny of the same county for One Thousand dollars. Affixed to the manuscript document is a partially printed document issued by the court of clerks acknowledging the transaction. It is unusual to see Confederate period bills of sale. Fine in legible hand, 8-1/2,’ x 13.”
