Autograph Letter Signed, 2p. quarto, January 24, 1844, Winston City, Mississippi, with integral leaf addressed to Major John Kennedy, in South Carolina, in part: "…I think I have made a bad start at hauling my cotton off to take 31 days for the first load. I have got about 50 bales and think I will get ten more and I think I have lost about twenty in the field…I have sold 580 bushels of corn at 37 ½ and 40 cents…" VG.
