Rare war-date Union soldier discharge for John S. Whigham, Private of Co. E, 95th New York Volunteers, 1pp. quarto, September 12, 1862, Washington D.C. signed by G.W. Hatch, AA Surgeon. It reads in part: “...He is only 14 years of age has had a very severe run of Typhoid Fever and great dibility in consequence thereof...” With attached dog tag worn by Private Whigham during his service. Very good condition.
