War-date carte de visite of Cololonel James H. Perry 48th New York. Anthony/Brady backmark. Clipped corners, else very good condition. James Hazard Perry (1811-1862)He rendered distinguished service in the Mexican war. Having decided that it was his duty to preach the Gospel, he entered the Methodist Ministry and served faithfully until the outbreak of the Rebellion. Then he took up arms in defense of his country, and died at Fort Pulaski, Ga., June 18, 1862.
