Printed Document for “The Bullion & Exchange Bank” 1pp. quarto, April 13, 1899, Carson City, Nevada, listing 33-1/3 Shares of Standard Consolidated stock. Fine condition. The standard was the biggest mine in Bodie, California on the eastern side of the Sierra Mountains. The Standard was eventually owned by J.S. Cain, a leading citizen and businessman in Bodie. Mr. Cain in later years became the owner of the entire town, and his family donated the town to the state as a state park. It exists as one of the best examples of a true ghost town.
