Confederate sheet music “Confederates’ Grand March” by William H. Hartwell, New Orleans, 1864, 6pp. folio, dedeicated to Capt. O.R. Singleton of the Confederates, Madison Co., Miss. Printed in red and blue. Fine condition. Otho Robards Singleton (1814-1889) US Congressman, CSA Congressman. Born in Nicholasville, Kentucky he moved to Mississippi where he served in the Thirty-third Congress (from 1853 to 1855) as well as the Thirty-fifth and Thirty-sixth Congresses from 1857 until 1861. From 1861 to 1865 he was a representative from Mississippi in the Confederate Congress. Ten years after the Civil War his constituents once again sent him to the United States Congress, where he served from 1875 to 1887.
